Isle Style : Soft Safari

The safari look never goes out of style, at least not in my book and I like the soft approach in this '09 J.Crew catalog photo.  Adding a long pearl necklace seems to add an elegant touch to a look that will have you easily transitioning from one summer event to the next.   Although I am trying not to add too much olive green to my already dense OLIVE GREEN wardrobe,  I did spot a similar jacket here in "burnished moss"!

As you may have noticed, we are updating the blog's look as we get ready to celebrate our 3 year bloggiversary.  If you have a minute, do let me know what you think.

Have you implemented the safari look into your wardrobe?

I have a jacket very similar to the one in the picture. I can't believe I snagged it from Target! I also got a tan pair of shorts. I should pair the two together with the cool sandals I got as well. You just helped me put together a neat outfit! Your blog and Target are some of my favorite things! Thanks! Sonya

Hi Laura, I think you and I have a lot of the same taste love the jacket will have to browse at JCrew now. I will blame you for that if I buy something.

First off, your Blog page was beautiful and inviting before, and it's beautiful now...great job!!!

Second...love J.Crew...along with The Loft, Banana Republic, and yes, the Gap. The clothes are mostly casual, a lot of beachy (if that's a word), and natural fabrics...but most of all so interchangeable...summer's the best, so comfy and living in Florida, the lighter the fabric, the better...both my daughter and myself go there a few times a month, maybe not always to buy, but see what's new. Great post!

I need that jacket. It would go perfect over my ivory lace ASOS dress.

Pearls? Load 'em up. I wear them with a striped sailor shirt and jeans to a good suit.
