"Say what?" That's what I said! But B insisted on telling me about chirality because the speaker at his chemistry seminar had mentioned how it was related to sea shells. Are you ready for a little lesson? Well, apparently the swirls we see on about 90% of shells go to the right or clockwise or are "dexteral". And if you happen to have a shell that swirls to the left, it may be worth a pretty penny because this rare characteristic is sought after by many shell collectors.
So if you are anything like me, I started going through all my shell treasures, but no luck!

I am right with you..'SAY WHAT?" How I am making it through a post grad program I will never know.. I failed Chem 3x many moons ago.. I think I will stick with just picking the shells and admiring their beauty!
