I love this octopus fabric from Interior Mall. It is so fun, and has these fabulous and happy beach colors together! Maya from Completely Coastal did a fabulous post on nautical fabrics, which is where I fell in love with this beauty. If you missed her post check it out here.
I first fell in love with an Octopus Pillow while I visited Portico Designs in St. John. It was the blue one on the right hand corner. I was so happy to see that my friend Caron has them over at her shop Caron's Beach House. I also love that squid I have underneath the octopus.I am off to find some seahorse love... what sea creature do you love?

ReplyDeleteSharks. Ever since I read "Shark Trouble" By Peter Benchley I have a soft spot for sharks as well as the Manta Ray. My favorite movies from my childhood were "Orca" and "The Deep". I should have been a marine biologist.

ReplyDeleteFave sea critters: too many to name all, but do love the octopus and parrot fish. And collectively, the silverside fish (they look like diamonds shimmering, but you have to be underwater to see the sparkling effects).
oh those are lovely! you could so recreate with a stencil. it would be cute in burlap.

I thought it was a starfish at first! Octopus are quite interesting creatures...Giant squid are creepy, too. Do you think the kraken exists? (I do!!!)

Hi Laura, had to drop in and say aloha! I've been off blogging for quite sometime while I made the BIG move to Coastal Georgia. I have officially lived on the Pacific in SoCal, the Gulf of Mexico in Florida and now the Atlantic Ocean. Each so different and beautiful in their own way.

My favorite sea creature? Hard to choose, it changes day to day, but today it is dolphins, I miss watching them play in the Gulf.
