About Me

Monday Blues #53 with Rip Cronk

How about a little art to get us inspired for the week? Rip Cronk is a Los Angeles based muralist who is behind the fun mural you see above. As you may recall from my previous post, Venice CA is an area known for its artist community. Rip is best known for bringing fine art into the public forum and his work can be seen throughout Venice and all over Los Angeles.. The mural above reflects the fun spirit you will find on the Venice boardwalk but Rip has also created some stunning ocean inspired murals. Click here to see "Ocean Waves."
Hope you are off to a week full of creative inspiration.
What artist is inspiring you at the moment?

Venice Beach is such a cool, eclectic place and a fun spot to people watch! I haven't been there for years, but I love this fun mural and the Ocean Waves one is absolutely amazing!

Have a wonderful week!

Venice Beach seems like a quirky, fun artsy place.
I always look to Mark Rothko's work. He is probably my favorite artist.

This is a fun one; I like Ocean Waves more. Too bad there are no murals around the beaches here.

That is so cool! I'm deeply addicted to a set of LA detective novels at the moment by Jonathan Kellerman.I adore reading about him mooching about Venice and Hollywood and Sunset Boulevarde etc - makes me want to hop on a plane and visit!
