B and I love to buy fresh produce from the local farmers. Back home we go to a fruit stand in Yucaipa. Last weekend during our trip we went to 3 different farmers markets. They were AWESOME! I loved the sweet little one in Cayucos, they have it on friday. But my favorite one was in Morro Bay (sat) apart from yummy eats, they have many wonderful vendors with unique items that I had not seen anywhere else (I'll tell you about a neat person I met there later).
These pics are from our visit to Arroyo Grande, CA. They also have their farmer's market on saturday. Lots of fresh veggies, breads and even some tamales! (Arroyo Grande also has a cute downtown with lots of places to eat and shop).
I love green beans and these were just enormous.
/STRAWBERRIES and BLUEBERRIES
Aren't these beautiful? I had to photograph them but my pic came out foggy, perhaps because that day was a scorcher. Either way, can't you picture them on a parfait?
Have a lovely laborless labor day weekend!

ReplyDeleteMy mouth is watering Laura. Yum yum.
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to make my way to the weekly market near my house. They started it in the parking lot of a local mall. It's barely 2 miles from my house, so I have no excuse. They really are magical places - and your photos capture that masterfully.
