Since this weekend is el dia de los padres I thought I would share a pic of my papá. I love this picture because he looks so happy. It was taken in El Salvador before we made the big move to the U.S. My papá is very reserved and smiles once in a million years, that's why this pic is one of my faves. I hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating with your families. I am still lucky enough to have my Dad with me and apparently he has caught island fever. Julian (as I like to call him) is currently in Hawaii with my mom celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary.
Your dad looks so cute! That is an awesome picture that you shared. It is nice to see little snippets of your life and your family, even though I know you very well it is fun learning more. Happy anniversary to your mom and dad, so glad to hear they went to Hawaii!

ReplyDeleteNice pic really. And why are fathers like that? Mine also rarely laughs and smiles except now that he has grandchildren already and plays with them.

I like this photo too! I can feel the energy of excitment and happiness. I hope he and your mom are having a golden time in Hawaii! Yes, Laura enjoy the moments with your dad they go so fast. I wish my dad was still here. I can't believe how fast the time is going, it will be a year in Sept that he passed away. I count my blessings for having him on this year as long as I did, but it still doesn't take away the emptiness. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI sooo love this story Laura! and so glad they are in Hawaii having a great time!!!
