As a young girl living in LA I loved to watch Gidget. I loved her beachy lifestyle. When I was sixteen, it was the era of the cabriolets, not shabby but I would have been happier with one of these beachy rides! Tough to choose just one right? As much as I would love a convertible Kharmannghia, I was ready to move into a VW bus this past weekend. They are so much homey inside.
I love the vintage beachyness to them. B and I were so thrilled to play house in a few VWs. These buses had many special little details that were so precious. We decided that when we get our beach bus we would get the safari windows to let the sea air in as we cruise up and down the coast.
And for young Norman, we might just get him one of these!

Growing up- my Dad had a VW bus- it was so much fun. It would scare me to death now- as there was nothing up front- but still, very fond memories. I would love a white, vintage VW bug, convertible! Love your images. Thanks you for your very kind thoughts for our Jack- you are dear.
