As you might have suspected B, Norm and I took your advice and had a family outing. We went to Venice beach, one of my old childhood haunts! For this edition of the Monday Blues, I have a few blue pics to share. Above is a sweet blue office building that I would not mind working from, because the view is la playa! Titanic is a shop that has been around forever ( they are known for having a great selection of hats) but what I really like is the soft blue around the building. In case you have never visited Venice, there is so much to see and learn! For example, Abott Kinney was a tobacco mogul who envisioned making an American version of Venice here in the US. However, there is little left of the Venetian architecture that Abbot Kinney planned. The canals turned out to be impractical for this marshy region and around the 1950s and 60s Venice became more of an eclectic, bohemian area. Either way it is amazing. He is an icon, no visit is complete without enjoying his electric guittar as he navigates through the boardwalk via rollerblades. I have so much more to share with you from our Venice trip, but I wanted to stick to the blues. I hope you enjoy part one and stay tuned ...

BTW Eliza from Confessions of a Beachaholic had been wanting to visit Venice after seeing the fun movie, "I love you Man" so a little shout out to her! :)
