This week I am sharing with you the Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, Ca. It was built in 1933 when the California coast was experiencing a building boom. This beautiful hotel on Ocean Ave, is right across the street from the Pacific Ocean. According to the hotel's website, this beautiful blue hotel was a favorite escape of the Hollywood elite crowd. Back then there were no paparazzi hounding the starlets and Sunset Blvd was the only major road that came this way. Art Deco and Romanesque architectural styles grace this beauty. For those of you not familiar with this area, the hotel is within walking distance of the Third Street Promenade, the Santa Monica Pier and the beach! I love imagining what old LA/Hollywood was like, especially behind such fancy places like this one. I hope this brief visit to this blue boutique hotel helps you with the Monday blues! If you have a blue picture you would like to share please leave a link in the comments.
