Yoga is super important to me but I don't always have the time to do it.  I am t r e a s u r i n g these summer days at home for "Laura time".  The 3 week Yoga retreat by Beachbody has been my go to lately.  Sometimes I will do the same day twice because I am not ready to move on.  And that is what yoga is all about.  It is not about perfection, but about you flowing with your body.

Today I decided to try a new video that I had purchased earlier in the spring called Aire Yoga.  It is in Spanish so I bought it with the intention of doing it with my students.  I am by no means a yoga teacher or guru.  I just love to learn and teach and thought this would be a great guide for me and my girls.
It is lead by Anna Silvetti an actress from Barcelona.  I first fell in love with her watching the Spanish Soap "El Cuerpo del Deseo".  I wasn't sure how this session was going to go but I gave it a try.  And guess what? I loved it!  I realized how I had not really spoken or heard Spanish in 2 weeks since I've been home.  I felt awesome listening to her instruction.

Now for me, doing yoga or meditation at home is hard and that's an understatement.  Why you ask?  Enter León Davis.

León is the antithesis to meditation.  He is a wild fox.  But since self care is only achieved by the self, I have to carry on.

The start of my sessions are always a little rough.  First it's León then it's Newman but eventually the boys settle and leave me alone.  I honestly think they are just curious, they are not used to me being still, without the TV, or without other distractions.  So I guess, they feel they have to investigate.
I always feel good after a session, no matter how short.
What about you?
What are you going to try this Tuesday?
