Like everyone else, the days right before the holidays are just flying by. Everyday I told myself I would decorate for the season and yesterday I finally did. My sister sent me a "Christmas Preparedness Kit" which included 2 silver mini trees, cookies and some other goodies. If it weren't for her, I might not have ever gotten started. Last night B made his contributions to the decorations and I think it turned out pretty sweet. Mind you, we live in a small apartment and have only one box that stores all our decor for each season but we finally put out our Christmas items out. I'm going to put the last touches on and then I'll share more pictures with you. For now I'll leave you with my Tropical Christmas Tree outside my front door with a little "snow" thanks to a lovely camera filter. We have to improvise down here in the Tropics...
very sweet! Thought of you this weekend as we made our way down to Monterey and Carmel for a fun afternoon on Saturday. It was just the kind of day that you would have loved!

Yes, we learn to improvise here with a little imagination. A cold front helps to get me into the spirit. I'm going to start baking before it warms up again!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute photo - neat snowy effect.
Love the snow improvisation! x

Being from the North East I love seeing how creative the warmer parts of country (and world) decorate. I think we currently have 10 bins and need more, but I remember our apt days... Your spirit is large, even if your space is small
ReplyDeleteHahaha! So cute! Hey, if you can get snow through a cam filter without the cold stormy weather, that's a pretty sweet deal! :-)
ReplyDeleteVery fun!! I only did limited decorations too but also a few DIY projects for the holidays or as I like to call them DUI's as I feel that all these things involve a margarita! ha ha ha
