Edible Flowers

Speaking of trying new things, this week we picked up this lovely salad mix with edible flowers from the Farmer's Market.  Doesn't it look so happy!  You almost don't want to eat it.
This area of Cali is not called the "salad bowl" for nothing, the vegetable selection in town is just superb.
B prepared our delightful salad along with some ravioli we picked up at Costco.
Just goes to show you it does not take much to create a fancy meal.  Thanks B!
Have you tried any new food recently?

I have those nasturiums flowers growing from seed in my yard! They haven't bloomed yet but I am looking foward to it. You lucky californians have this kind of stuff all the time.

No new foods recently but Im off to spend the weekends with a friend whose husband is an EXCELLENT cook...so who knows what is in store for me. I will certainly try something new in honor of this post! I'm a pretty adventurous eater anyway...

Have a lovely weekend!
