While it is still sunny in California, winter has certainly arrived. Here in the land of Red, the nights are in the high 30s and the days have been brisk. What a perfect time to break out my new cowl from The Ruby Kneedle!
I first fell in love with this shop when I spotted a grey cowl on Beach House Living's Blog. As much as I love grey I thought a creamy one would be perfect for my wardrobe full of olives, taupes and blacks. Once it arrived, it has been tough to take it off, it is absolutely cozy.
I love texture and this is a magnificent way to add lots of it. Won't this work perfectly during walks on the beach? Truthfully, it's been more like walks around the block with Norm and Newman, but you know what I mean, right?

Accessories are my way of adding a little newness to my look, and thankfully they cost way less than a new wardrobe. My white tees and even my favorite Jcrew puffy vest look a little happier ever since my cowl has arrived. Oh, and in case you don't spend enough time on the internet blog surfing, The Ruby Kneedle's owner Beth also has a blog called Ruby & Co, and there's all sorts of inspiration over there. I really dig it and I think you will too.
