Happy New Year! We are starting 2010 with a Monday Blue's with B's stepbrother NEWT. He is a Blue Healer and a good old country dog from Amarillo, Texas!
Newt is an all around sportsdog, he LOVES to play fútbol and he is also an excellent guard dog. When B and I first approached the property it was clear to us who was boss. But don't let his tough exterior fool you, he is also a lover as long as his Dad has given him the ok about accepting visitors. As you might have figured he is Norm and Newman's uncle and we have been telling them stories about their dear Uncle Newt. I didn't know much about Blue Heelers and it turns out they have an interesting history. They come from the mixing of Dingoes, Collies and other herding dogs and were developed by the Australian George Elliot. If you would like to learn more about Blue Heelers click here.
