B and I had heard many good things about Cambria so we decided to take advantage of our location and stopped for lunch and a peek at the shops. Our first stop was lunch at the West End Bar and Grill. I had their calamari and chips and B enjoyed their clam chowder in a bread bowl. Yummy and not too pricey, about 10 bucks a plate! Cambria is a sweet little town that reminded me of Big Bear with its crisp air and cozy village. There are lot of places to stop in for a bite as well as shops to peruse.Lucia Apothecary B and I stopped in this heavenly smelling shop and met the most delightful women. They were very so kind and treated B to the "manscrub." This was my kind of place, lots of fun lotions, scrubs, and clean smelling scents to enjoy.Cambria is a nice place to stop but to be honest I loved Cayucos more. I would recommend staying in Cayucos like we did ( bc it is centrally located to many other towns and also bc it is so darn adorable!) and heading to Cambria for lunch and a nice walk. The village itself is not right on the beach so if you are looking for ocean views during lunch this is not your spot. But if you are on Highway 1 coming heading south, this is a fabulous place to take a break, stretch your legs, enjoy the crisp ocean air and pick up some gifts for your loved ones.
