Don't you just love the way mint makes you feel? Clean, cool fresh. In Central and South America, mint is known as hierbabuena (literally, "good herb"). I love the name. Did you know there is a small island between San Francisco and Oakland that is named Yerba Buena?
Speaking of cosas buenas (good things) I have been experimenting with growing some hierbabuena and so far this black thumb is doing well. I love nature and plants but I am still learning how NOT to kill them. Wish me some buena suerte! (good luck)

Onto some other goodness : I was recently tagged by Candace Rose a new bloggy friend. Her blog is really fun, fashionable and fabulous. This tag involves sharing a little bit more info about moi. I am going to do about half of the questions today and hopefully you will visit me on thursday for the rest. Here goes:
What is your current obsession?
a scarf from etsy called Necklush
Who is the last person you hugged?
B
What is your favorite dinner?
sushi. I love octopus, salmon and tuna. I could eat it everyday.
What was the last thing you bought to wear?
the Hazel Ugg shoes I was obsessed with last week.
What are you listening to right now?
TOP 40 dance songs. I am so behind, and since I have spent so much time in my car lately, it's either NPR or Top 40.
Say something to the person who tagged you?
Hi Candace! Thanks for thinking of me and I am so glad our paths crossed in the blogosphere. I love your blog! It has my fave stuff, photography, fashion and real life.
Tea or Coffee?
BOTH! I love tea in the winter. It is my go to drink. I can drink tea all day but coffee is more a morning ritual for me. I also like to have café con leche at 3pm.
What did you want to be as a child?
I wanted to be a writer and then a veterinarian because I LOVE animals. I think via this blog I am fulfilling my first dream of becoming a writer.
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour where would you go?
I would love to go to France. I have never been and I am a lifelong francophile. Of course I would have to snap my fingers and get there ASAP.
Who do you want to meet in person?
Robert Downey Jr. I feel like we have known each other forever. I was in love with him since his film Less than Zero and have been pulling for him during all his troubled times. I don't know why he popped into my head, but he seems like he has had a lot of ups and downs and seems to be very grounded. This is a tough question I am sure there are a million more people I would love to meet but he popped into my head.

What is your most challenging goal right now? Getting back to the gym since, I have been extremely busy this past month with the move and some other personal issues. I have not gone for the past month. I am feeling really tired and overwhelmed and I know the gym will help me, if only I could get there.
What is your weirdest obsession? I don't think I have one to be quite honest. My obsession is with the beach and anything beachy but I don't think that is weird. I might have to think about this question a bit more some...
