On Sunday I had my own little science super shuttle tour at
UCR. My guide was an up and coming analytical chemist :
B. Now you might be wondering how does a beachlover end up spending a day in a science lab? Well, you never know where you will end up in life and this weekend the
warm santa ana winds took me to UCR!

My last experience in a science lab was in 12th grade when I finally took Biology ( I had been avoiding it!) This past weekend I jumped right in and watched science in motion! I tend to feel out of my element ( get it? ha ha!) when I am near science or math but not this weekend. I really enjoyed seeing how B spends his days. It is definitely hard work and experiments don't always go as planned or give you the data you were expecting.
Hmmm sounds a little bit like chemistry and regular everyday life have a lot in common.

Hmm....what are those,Wheat Thins, in that petri dish? Looks like a snack experiment to me!
ReplyDeleteWell, this explains why we hardly caught sight of you this weekend. You were locked up in a lab. Hope to see you around later today.
Yay for going to a lab. Is this a trend... I seem to remember another sciency post last month. Hmmm. I hope B is rubbing off some of the science love (wow that sounded dirtier than I wanted it to). Sounds like you might have had fun too! :oD And I totally appreciated the Chem pun.
