Saturday was a fantastic day in sunny SoCal. I was excited for the first game of the season for the
Irish and since we couldn't be in South Bend, B and we headed down to San Diego. Our first stop was La Jolla. La Jolla definitely lives up to its name (the jewel). It is beautiful and there is so much to do.

Our first stop was the famous
Sunny Jim Cave. There are 6 caves you can explore by sea . If you'd rather stay off the water there is another option. For $4 each we headed down the 145 steps that lead to one of the caves. It was fun to go down these stairs and be inside one of the caves but there are prettier views elsewhere like this one:

I don't know why but I loved this blue box and I had to include it in the shot. After the caves we headed to a pub to watch the Irish WIN. YAY!
your picts are so nice! Go Irish!
ReplyDeleteAs a former lifeguard, that last picture resonates particularly deeply with me. There's definitely a story behind it...I wonder what's inside!
ReplyDeleteMimi's right: you have a very cool way of seeing the world.
Hey there! Once again, you have some breathtaking photos, and another weekend adventure to share. And I'm pleased to see that you allowed someone else to take a picture of you and B besides B! I never knew about those caves....have to check that out someday!
