I went most of this year thinking I was 38, I know! How does one do that?  The answer is I don't know!  But on the last day of my 37 years I thought I would take a moment and thank all of my lovely readers who stop by and say hello and even if you just take a peak at the blog and go on your day.  I appreciate you.  It's been a crazy year, 2 moves, 2 States, career changes, cancer scares but at the end of the day, I've made it to the other side and I am so thankful.  I still get to see the ocean and travel the world with my dear husband and the canine travel team.  Dr. Seuss's  "Oh, The Places you will go" came to my today because despite all the uncertainty that life may bring I don't want to go to what Dr. Seuss so correctly calls the most useless place "The Waiting Place...

...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or a No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite

or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a sting of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.

NO!

That's not for you!

Somehow you'll escape

all that waiting and staying.
You'll find the bright places
where Boom Bands are playing.
With banner flip-flapping,
once more you'll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
Ready because you're that kind of a guy!

Life is too short to be waiting for the perfect anything.  There's nothing like the gift of another year to motivate me to make the best of what I've got and where I'm at and keep moving forward.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
