Ms. Leibovitz's parents, peter’s pond beach, wainscott, long island [1992] picture from http://www.superfuture.com/supernews/?p=34670 |
I spent this weekend catching up and relaxing and I was able to finally watch Annie Leibovitz-Life through a Lens. Ms. Leibovitz is a renowned photographer who has been able to capture American life, pop culture in particular, from a very intimate perspective. She is the photographer behind Demi Moore's pregnancy nude cover for Vanity Fair but Ms. Leibovitz's lens is very wide. I could watch documentaries all day, especially about art. This film made me feel like my point and click snapshots are also capturing something special. I love taking pictures and "documenting" and this film inspired me to keep at it.
What kind of documentaries do you like to watch?
**BTW this film is available on Netflix
Startling picture. ;)

I agree that this is a startling photo. I sort of jumped back when the page loaded! But, I would venture to say that Annie had a colorful, humorous and down-to-earth relationship with her parents. That's cool. Sonya
