A Kelp Forest

It's amazing how certain images and colors can transport and inspire us.  I love the blues and the almost neon effect that the kelp has in this lighting.
How about that leopard shark to keep you on your toes.  Yet, the way he floats by is so smooth and dare I say soothing?  Believe it or not this exhibit at the Monterey Aquarium is one of the tallest aquarium exhibits in the world.  (28 feet!) I also had no idea that giant kelp have no roots, stems, leaves or flowers and can range in size from microscopic cells to 100-foot-tall giant kelp. (source here)

Pretty shark.
I love those colors as well.
Did you ever read "Shark Trouble" by Peter Benchley?
Gives you a whole new respect for sharks.

So pretty and the colors so inviting and relaxing. These are some of the natural sea colors that inspire my palette at the cottage. Thanks for the wonderful tour.
