Sometimes you have to peek through the smallest openings to catch a moment. The other day I was sitting in my patio (on the first floor) and caught this view of the mountains. It was a reminder that there is a lot of beauty all around us waiting to be discovered. Sure I had to stand on a chair and crook my neck a bit, but it was worth it, don't you think?
That is such a nice view, I just love catching a glimpse of mountains in the distance.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully appropriate sentiment. You're so right: Life is about moments just like this. And it's up to us to stop and take notice. Otherwise, we might miss it.
I dig that you've always been one to stop and smell the roses.
well worth it and I love that your pics remind me to stop and take a moment and look! BTW - giving away a SHOPBOP $100 gift card on my blog come visit!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors. I'm glad you didn't fall off the chair!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful view! I LOVE that we share a mutual appreciation for the simple things in life! Aloha! :)
ReplyDeleteSo worth it! I saw a shooting star the other day. I go nuts when I see a crane flying. I love geography and nature. When I was a kid I used to win in the science fairs at school.
ReplyDeleteso true.
ReplyDeletewhat a majestic view!
It's ALL about the view...even if ya have to get up on a chair and such. I'd be back up ON it every evening to follow - just in case. Thanks for this post Laura - it reminds me of the view I used to get when I came in oh so early for Morning Edition.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I am obsessed with pictures of the sky and how it is able to transform colors of other things. If I'm ever feeling down, I love to just stare out at the sky and take pictures of it :)
ReplyDeletewhat a view you have! Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing such a lovely moment in time.
ReplyDeleteLove the image you captured! It does remind me to look around - beauty abounds! Thanks, Laura!
