This weeks theme at Written is Edible. Today Carmi asks "What is your favorite food and why?" OH BOY What a loaded question! Very tough to answer. So I thought I would attempt an answer with some good memories from the sealaura vault. I will start with a Rainbow roll, because oh yeah, you guessed it I LOVE SUSHI, what good Californian doesn't? Why?--> Good comfort food, yet I never feel guilty after eating it. I also love lobster. Also a treat, because of the $$ but B and I had this lovely meal in Baja and for just the right price! Love it so much, I don't want to talk during this meal. I want to savor every bite, I need to concentrate. We can talk later, in the car shhhhh!Although I am not a big meat eater. I do love Tacos al Pastor. These are pork tacos that some claim are an adoption of the Shwarma spit-grilled meat brought by Lebanese immigrants to Mexico. They are delish! Why?--> Even though I am a Salvadoran, I love Mexican culture and food. Although we are a few countries away (El Salvador) they are my peeps and I love their food. ¡ORALE!
