No matter how old I get, I always feel like a 16yr old girl who is about to get into trouble with the parents. So I scrambled to clean up my house and tried to show them a good time. On Saturday we had a lovely meal at Casa Maya in
Mentone, Ca. Mentone is the next town over. One notable aspect about Mentone is that it is the last gas stop before heading up to Angelus Oaks and Big Bear. Anyway, it was nice to sit outside and enjoy a meal together. We had amazing weather this past weekend. I think it only hit the low 80s!You can probably see that Papá is not big on smiling in pics. But really he is a teddy bear.
Of course they love their grandson Norman Alexander, he makes everyone smile.
We had a great time with my parents. They are a lot of fun. They are silly and find joy in the simple things. Their visit consisted of going to the swap meet, the mall, COSTCO and Casa Maya yet they were
so excited for each outing. Isn't that a great way to live?

I think they were just excited to hang out with you. I know if I visit my mom and we go to Kmart together she is excited. Gotta love the parental units. lol

ReplyDeleteOh, you make me miss my parents ! I know you had fun visiting and just being together. Enjoy every minute with your mom and dad because, sadly, it's not until they are gone that you realize the treasure they are!
