In the BVI, it's quite normal to have the "town water" turned off (why, why? one learns to not ask why, lol), or the cistern run dry and no rain in the forecast. I once had to complete a shower at two different locations because the water got shut off without warning. Going around in public with shampoo drying in your long hair is really not fun. :-0<br />On yachts, we sometimes took sea showers: jump off boat to get wet, get back on boat to lather up, jump back in to rinse in salt water, get back on boat for fresh water rinse.
